Cooperative Intelligence Schemes for Future Internet Emerging Technologies (TEC2013-47016-C2-1-R)

Project COINS contributes to advances of the Future Internet (regarding networks, services and data, and the intelligentinclusion of things/machines and persons), which is envisaged as a multi-technology, heterogeneous, and increasingly virtualized and cloud-like environment. In this context, COOPERATION becomes a key paradigm that takes variousforms according to the particular technological domain a system or an application belongs to. Accordingly, this project encompasses a holistic view of the Future Internet (FI), from the end user/thing/machine to the cloud, and will focus on INTELLIGENT COOPERATIVE NETWORKING ISSUES. It investigates cooperative networking schemas that will facilitate a better (i) utilization of resources, (ii) dissemination of information and (iii) quality of service/experience for users, with the general goal of improving end-to-end network performance.
